Reg Charity no
Welcome to our Parish website. We hope that you will find all the information you need about our services and beautiful churches.
Rev Mark Jones
The Parish covers about half of Penarth, plus Cogan, Penarth Marina and Llandough and has three churches -
We are situated just to the south of Cardiff in the Vale of Glamorgan. It’s mainly a suburban area with good links to Cardiff and has a large hospital (Llandough, part of UHW) within the parish boundaries. The Parish is in the Diocese of Llandaff in the Church in Wales. Our Diocesan Bishop is the Right Reverend June Osbourne.
All three churches are prominent landmarks in the community. St. Augustine’s is an imposing figure on the Penarth headland and can be seen for miles around. Holy Nativity is the first welcoming sight as you enter Penarth under the railway bridge, with its belfry housing two bells. St. Dochdwy’s is situated on the top of Llandough hill and its distinctive tower can be seen nestled in the woodland from as far afield as Caerphilly Mountain.
Thank you for visiting our Parish website. We hope it highlights some of the important aspects of our church life. You will be made very welcome if you would like to join us at any of our services and activities.

A Prayer for these times
God of healing and hope, in Jesus you meet us in our places of pain and fear. Look with mercy on those who have contracted the new virus, on any who are vulnerable, and on all who feel in danger. Through this global time of concern, by your Holy Spirit bring out the best not the worst in us. Make us more aware of our interdependence on each other, and of the strength that comes from being one body in you.
Through Christ our wounded healer. Amen
